Position Summary
The Direct Sales Representative must meet or exceed revenue goals and target objectives established for assigned sales region.  The Direct Sales representative should be familiar with the steps necessary to close deals and have demonstrated sales ability to increase revenues by introducing complex concepts.  The candidate must also possess the ability to introduce and sell our technology by offering a better solution to small to mid-sized businesses.  They must be able to develop, prioritize, and articulate an understanding of where and how SecureWorks technologies and services fit and add value to a client’s overall productivity.  The ideal candidate would have experience dealing with a new and emerging technology and delivering a comprehensive solution to a new market, preferably selling internet security software and or services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and master on-going relationships with each client on the basis that each communication provides value to the client
  • Understand client’s business and information security environment.
  • Intuitively and proactively understands client concerns and facilitates escalation to the appropriate resources to address and resolve each situation
  • Perceived as a client advocate to ensure all service issues are resolved and the client experience is enhanced
  • Must consistently meet or exceed sales quota
  • Grow revenues for assigned book of business by driving cross-sell opportunities.
  • Gain long-term service commitments from assigned accounts
  • Expand relationship between client and the Secureworks executive team, Secure Operations Center personnel and other Secureworks resources from initial client contacts to senior and tactical level throughout the organization and other business units
  • Identify referral clients and coordinate communication to direct sales team
  • Define and communicate additional client training programs
  • Maintain and update customer relationship tools for each client interaction
  • Accurately process sales order information
  • Ability to effectively interact within a team driven, interactive environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer information systems Preferred
  • Significant Business to Business Sales experience
  • Successful commissioned sales history.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in a direct, technical sales environment, preferably in Network Security, with a proven successful track record.
  • This candidate must have demonstrated three to five years experience in revenue generation roles within high-growth, rapidly evolving companies.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, well-organized individual with the ability to prioritize in a fast moving environment.
  • Strong technical acumen, i.e broad experience in information security systems or technology preferred
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with a talent for customer interaction at all levels.
  • Experience working with complex, sophisticated clients with $2M+ annual service revenues quotas.
