POSITION SUMMARY
The Global Account Manager (GAM) has responsibility for prospecting and closing new business in an assigned target list of Fortune 600 Accounts.  With the support of Sales Engineering and Inside Sales, the GAM will utilize a consultative sales approach to map SecureWorks service offerings to the clients’ needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prospect and sell into assigned Fortune accounts
  • The candidate must be a strong sales "hunter" with a consultative, solution-based approach.
  • Ability to sell at all levels within an organization.
  • Deliver on-line and face-to-face presentations highlighting SecureWorks capabilities.
  • Effectively map SecureWorks solutions to meet prospects needs.
  • Maintain and update customer relationship tools for each prospect interaction
  • Ability to sell in a direct and channel model

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong track record of identifying, working and closing large, complex solution sales.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with high energy level
  • Aggressive self-starter, results- and success- oriented with the ability to follow through on commitments.
  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all departments
  • Prefer (but not required) experience selling security services or complex security software such as SIEM technologies. 
  • Knowledgeable about security vendors, technologies, industry regulations and business drivers.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree required, Masters degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in direct sales/account management in technology, consulting, information security or managed service industry.
  • Strong technical acumen, i.e. broad experience in information security systems or technology preferred
  • Experience working with complex, sophisticated Enterprise Clients
  • Background in large strategic outsourcing deals preferred, for example someone who has sold for EDS, Perot, Accenture, IBM etc.
  • Advanced negotiation, communication, writing and organization skills
  • Track record of over-quota performance and significant C-Level executive contacts.
