Position Summary
The Web Developer will be a key member of the engineering team, responsible for designing, developing, and testing the next generation of security focused customer portal using cutting-edge technology. The developer will work with system administrators, security analysts, and clients to ensure that we produce high quality products that exceed expectations. This is a challenging and also very rewarding position where interesting projects in security are implemented in order to protect our clients from Internet intrusions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work within a dynamic team of engineers developing the next generation customer web portal
• Develop customized web components using CSS,HTML and JavaScript
• Provide design leadership, produce prototypes & layout enhancements to existing web app
• Participate in developing UI standards and usability recommendations
• Utilize web frameworks used to develop and enhanced user experience
• Design and develop web systems as specified by management
• Troubleshoot performance/layout issues in JavaScript, CSS, HTML

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Creative individual, must possess ability to take concepts from imagination to reality
• Artistic ability, capable of a range of tasks from creating prototypes, building icons/logos and designing themes
• Strong knowledge of interface design and user centered design methods
• Strong understanding of DOM, JSON, JavaScript, HTML/XHTML and CSS
• Outstanding knowledge of JS frameworks (jQuery, Prototype, EXT, YUI)
• Experience with RESTful services, XML parsing/handling
• Proven solid analytical and problem solving skills
• A solid understanding of software development

Education and Experience:

• Applicant must have strong knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies
• Ideal candidate will have experience with JAVA
• Applicant should have strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX fundamentals and be versed in relational databases.
• The applicant must also be project oriented and able to work with minimal day-to-day direction.
• Information security knowledge is preferred
• The applicant must be highly motivated and willing to take on projects under deadline.
• Experience in building high quality and high performance web systems
• Bachelors degree in web site design, graphic design or related discipline, or equivalent work experience

• CSS, HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Flex, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Groovy/Grails, Spring, Tomcat, Apache, MySQL, MVC Frameworks, JAVA, Linux/UNIX fundamentals
