Position Summary
The Remedy Software Engineer is responsible for assisting in design, development and testing enhancements for a custom ARS 7 application that is part of a large Managed Security Services system. This position has accountability for scoping projects and assuring that best practices are utilized. This position works in collaboration with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Business Analysts, Operations and other stakeholders to ensure that the software developed meets the needs of the business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Install and configuration Remedy applications
• Design and develop on a custom ARS 7 application
• Troubleshoot and support ARS 7 applications and systems
• Follow and enhance development processes
• Document test cases to meet the desired test coverage goals
• Help construct training materials that the quality assurance, research, development, and program management teams will use to test and certify newly developed features
• Work with multi-disciplined and cross-functional teams
• Minimize risk by identifying, communicating and escalating issues appropriately to management

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience developing and testing custom BMC Remedy applications
• Experience with ARS 7.x; including experience in developing Workflow Objects (e.g. Active Links, Filters, Guides, and View Forms)
• Experience with Scrum or other agile methodologies preferred
• Experience with Unix operating systems preferred
• Experience with Oracle and SQL preferred
• Experience in IT Service Management including ITIL best practices covering incident, request, problem, and change and knowledge management is a plus
